Zakharov more serious, but still funny

There is a new, more mature 17-year-old Alexey Zakharov playing at junior tournaments this year, but that doesn’t mean the Moscow native has lost his sense of humor.
At the Australian Open on Tuesday, Zakharov was all smiles and laughing after he won his second round singles and doubles matches. In singles, the 12th-seeded Zakharov ousted Nick Hardt of the Dominican Republic 63 64.
Zakharov played confident tennis, posting 33 winners to just 10 for Hardt. In a new strategy, Zakharov is making the net his new favorite spot, and won 27 of 33 points when there. He won six of the nine points when he served and volleyed.

Two titles in June

There was a Russian Championship under 16 held in Moscow in June this year I got 3rd title in a row in doubles with my partner Michael Sokolovsky. In finals we played against Bolotov S./Noskin E. The score was 76 (3) 64.
Next week after RussiaChampionship I participated in the tournament ITF 4 Governor Cup in Saint-Petersbourg. In singles I came to semi-finals, failing to K. Lozan with the score 46 63 36. I won the tournament in doubles with my partner T. Razmaitov, beating Shatalin/Shainyan 62 64 in the final.
ITF in Sweden

I have just arrived from Sweden. I played ITF tournament of the 4th category. It was challenging to participate after the Christmas hollidays. But it is always nice to start the season with a high level tournament.
I won the first match ( 6-1 6-1) . I did my utmost to be focused on the game ; moreover I served quite well during the all match. However the second match I lost. The first set was very intensive and I won 6-2. But after that my competitor has found his rhythm and started to control the game. I made a few mistakes in tthe tiebreak and lost the set. In the 3rd set I was already exhausted and I could not run as fast, so the final score was 6-2 6-7 (3) 3-6. Despite the defeat I was not disappointed in the way I played.
